Hold Layoff/Termination Interviews
A Step in a Management Maneuver in the Mezzanine Stage of Startup Development
Holding termination interviews is a step in the process of cutting costs by laying off staff. The meeting is where the employees manager, or another senior member of staff, informs the employee of the termination, explains the reasons, explains that the decision is final, discusses the job reference policy and the benefits the employee will receive. The employee is then assisted in collecting his/her belongings and returning Company property (which might be defered until later, depending on the situation).
This step is completed once all the termination interviews have taken place.
