Gather Staff Input
A Step in a Management Maneuver in the Mezzanine Stage of Startup Development

Gathering staff input is a step in the process of reinventing the Company--this is often part of the process of slashing costs. This needs to be sensitively done, as staff are often laid off as part of a cost-slashing exercise, so selecting the staff to include in the discussion has to be done with care. When taking such radical steps, it is important to get staff on board so that the impact on morale can be mitigated. Some of the best ideas, and most useful market insights, often come from individuals working closely with customers--not exclusively with the most senior management. This step is completed once input has been gathered from selected staff.
